Hello, I'm James Chen, and I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. With hardworking parents as role models, I learned the value of a strong work ethic from a young age. My father worked in construction and my mom my superhero raised six kids while working in the sewing factory. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve spending time with my family and having fun with my cousins in the front yard. I am fortunate to be married to my wonderful wife, Lily, who is also a State Farm agent. Together, we have a loving daughter, and family time is incredibly important to us. 👨‍👩‍👧We enjoy spending time with our siblings, allowing our daughter to play with her little cousins. Additionally, I have always been passionate about cars and am thrilled to be an Insurance Agent for the largest Auto Insurer in California. 🚗

Giving back to the community is a priority for me, and I take pride in having served as the past president of the local Kiwanis club. My family and I also donate to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hope House, Kiwanis, local Veterans organizations, and the local teacher association.🤝

I attended the University of Southern California, where I earned two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2002. Prior to joining State Farm, I worked at UBS Wealth Management. In 2015, I began my career with State Farm as a team member, and my passion for helping families protect their homes, businesses, autos, and manage their retirements led me to open my own State Farm Agency in 2017. I truly enjoy growing alongside our customers.
